Sammendrag Med utgangspunkt i en overordnet teknologisk strategi i en norsk nyhetsorganisasjon kalt «digital først», viser denne artikkelen hvordan digital teknologi påvirket ferdigheter, relasjoner og perspektiver i avisredaksjonen over tid. «Digital først» ble sett på som både forestillinger om framtida og som kroppsliggjort kunnskap, og artikkelen går inn i disse opplevelsene for å brette ut kompleksiteten rundt digital teknologi. Artikkelen er basert på ett års feltarbeid, i 2017, samt lengre kjennskap til avisredaksjonen, fra 2013, og lener seg både på klassiske studier og nyere antropologisk forskning av teknologi. Feltarbeidet ble utført i en tid der usikkerhet og «mediekrisa» preget diskursen i avisbransjen. Behovet for å forstå og møte det ukjente med bruk av teknologi preget forståelser i redaksjonen fram til «digital først» på «magisk» vis begynte å fungere. Artikkelen følger denne overgangen og viser at «det digitale» må forstås som del av de sosiale relasjoner og prosesser det inngår i, inkludert vår kroppslige opplevelse
