In the paper, the results of the study of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism examined in aborigines, migrants and those 1 and 2 generation Caucasians born in the North were under consideration. It has been found that, the lipid metabolism values were within the range of the accepted norm, but significant differences between the examined groups were observed in the series of its indices. The aboriginal subjects' lipid profiles were characterized as less atherogenic. More than 30 % of the examinees had a high level of glucose in their blood, what could be considered as a risk factor of steady prediabetic states or even Diabetes II progress
