La question de la conversion de Paul a ete tres debattue par la recherche recemment. Paul est surement a la fois un converti, mais aussi un apostat et l'apotre des Gentils. Ce qu'il faut sans doute retenir, c'est que Paul n'a pas renonce a la religion de ses ancetres et que sa conversion religieuse est motivee par une experience christologique. Son role est alors d'annoncer aux Gentils leur incorporation dans la filiation divine
