The November 1952 issue of the French review, Esprit, is devoted to an analysis and appraisal of "La Gauche Arnericaine." The project is certainly more elaborate than anything that has been undertaken in this country: no fewer than eighteen authors contribute a total of 137 pages to analyzing various aspects of the American Left.
