Studies of prehistoric and early historic Plains-Southwest relationships have focused on items of material culture recovered from Plains sites and pueblos situated along the eastern margin of the Southwest. Plains products are rarely documented in Southwestern sites west of the Plains-Southwest contact zone in general and in trade-item source areas in specific. This short report documents three flakes of Alibates material recovered from sites located in obsidian source areas in north-central and west-central New Mexico
