Much of my work stems from the question how do digital technologies and new media affect our response to images and texts? Specifically, how is the way that we read, the way that we understand and interact with text, and art, changing in a world of screens, of interfaces, of mediating layers of technology? While viewing or interacting with a piece of digital art, does one become frustrated by the inherent intangibility of the medium? Through video installation and Internet-based artwork, I aim to explore the ways in which a projection creates a surface on a screen, and how narrative can be created through juxtaposition. Furthermore, I aim to examine the role of tactile experience, the movement of water, the texture of fur, in a formally weightless medium. I am exploring the ability of projected video to suspend an image of such physicality in thin air, materialized only through light
