The result is presented of a detailed pedological survey of the geest at the margin of the Tønder Marsh-Area. Maps showing the parents sediments, the pedology and the drainage class have been constructed. Furthermore a soil capability map is shown using the land valuation principles of the Federal Republic of Germany
