Dogmatic and Pastoral Coherence of the Second Vatican Council. A Contribution to the Hermeneutics of Its Texts and Message
This paper is an attempt to present a synthetic approach to the unity of the theological message of the last of the ecumenical councils, Vatican II. The research perspective is strictly theological, and considering the texts themselves, it sets aside their history. The author’s ambition is to propose a coherent interpretation of the three definitions presented by the Council Fathers: liturgy, Church, and revelation. It appears that there is a far…
Scientific Imagination as locus of Theology
Christian theology is not an isolated system of knowledge. The theological phenomena of revelation and inspiration are related to human knowledge of self, community and the world, yet it would be insufficient to think that their conceptual content comes only from human natural experience. This truth is expressed in the doctrine of "theological places", which is most often associated with the Spanish Dominican Melchior Cano because of its systemat…
Dogma and Method
Dogmas are often seen as a kind of restriction that prevents development and restrains freedom of thought. However, the opposite is true. They help guide thinking and are also a hermeneutic key to reading human reality. The purpose of this volume is to show the paradoxically undogmatic nature of Christian dogmatics. From various perspectives, the contributors encourage a renewal of methodological consciousness within dogmatics. Their aim is to re…
Kościół jest Ciałem. Wybrane aspekty współczesnej eklezjologii w perspektywie chrystologiczno sakramentalnej
Owoce badań historycznych de Lubaca utorowały drogę do wielkich s…
Teologia nicejska. Historyczna i systematyczna propozycja interpretacyjna Lewis’a Ayres’a
Phenomenological Fragments of Trinitarian Discourse
Among the important tasks of Trinitarian theology today is the need to rethink its basic conceptual coordinates. This contribution is a proposal for a phenomenological and existential approach to Trinitarian theology. The starting point is the analysis of three essential existential operators, by means of which the depth of the filial experience of Jesus is expressed. These operators are: being, having, and entering into relations. Their analysis…
