Indigenous languages in Peru
This article analyzes the current needs of Indigenous languages in Peru by integrating perspectives from linguistics, sociology, and political science. Going beyond a diagnostic of endangerment, we argue that current revitalization efforts suffer from a functional approach that bureaucratizes diversity without altering structural power dynamics. We propose a critical intercultural theoretical framework that links linguistic rights, cultural ident…
The endogenous threat
Introduction While the Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) framework traditionally addresses external threats, this article adapts it to analyze domestic political discourse. Using the 2025 annual discourse by Peruvian President Dina Boluarte as a case study, this research examines how governments may employ endogenous information manipulation and how these internal strategies challenge democratic norms. Methods The study uti…
Catalyzing change or perpetuating crisis? A SWOT analysis of the linguistic revitalization process in Peru
Peru’s constitution recognizes its multicultural identity, yet most of its 48 indigenous languages face extinction. This paper shifts from a static diagnosis of language condition to a dynamic SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis of the revitalization process itself – the machinery of policies and programs designed to reverse language shift. We argue the state-led apparatus is systemically failing. Strengths like a robust…

Representation of Andean Communities
Peru is a country that has a world-renowned cultural heritage. However, there is a set of historical discrimination in different instances of society against the indigenous population, their cultural identity, social recognition, and even legal protection. Corporate social responsibility in the families of workers
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) promotes sustained productivity, attention to the environment, and various improvements in its operations. All this to benefit internal and external customers. However, it is difficult to implement a comprehensive version of CSR in workers, who find obstacles to satisfy an optimal balance between productivity and family life. This has motivated the emergence of the concept of Corporate Family Responsibility (…
Identity and audiovisual language
Audiovisual representation models in film and television influence the public constitution of people's identity and lifestyles. This is particularly important in minority groups or those with some type of disability, since both representation and learning about said condition are assumed by the majority. For this reason, this article analyses the representation of three high-impact audiovisual products: the film Rain Man (1988), the medical drama…

Therefore, the research is proposed as a systematic literature review with the objective of analyzing the trends in studies on click…

Peru is a multicultural country, with a wide wealth of languages and traditions. However, most of the contributions from the Andean and Amazon areas have suffered segregation by members of the majority culture, represented by the Spanish language and centralised in the coastal cities. For this reason, migration to these territories has included the concealment of the mother tongue, cultural mimicry and the loss of identity values. For this reason…
Educación y medios audiovisuales
The implementation of educational proposals, supported by the use of audiovisual media (AM) is abundant. However, beyond the development of good practices, it appears a complex process of production, functionality and sustainability, which ends up defining its long-term success or failure. On the other hand, conditions such as knowledge of the audiovisual narrative, the definition of product problems and the correct identification of the public, …
