  • The impact of virtual reality motor-cognitive dual-task training on individuals with poor spatial visualization ability

Yang Liu, Fangfang Hu et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

  • Application and evaluation of a virtual patient system based on a multi-branch dynamic decision model in orthopedic graduate medical education

Open Access•Jie Xu, Li Deng et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Medical Education•2026

BACKGROUND: Orthopedic Graduate Medical Education (GME) necessitates the cultivation of comprehensive clinical competencies across various subspecialties—including trauma, joint disorders, spinal conditions, and sports medicine—within a constrained training period. Conventional rotation-based training models often result in uneven exposure to infrequent yet high-risk clinical scenarios, thereby limiting the systematic development of integrative c…

Open Access•Piotr Gaczek, Grzegorz Leszczyński et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Business Ethics•2026

Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into managerial decision-making raises significant ethical concerns, particularly regarding the attribution of responsibility and decision-making in moral dilemmas. This study examines how different forms of human–AI collaboration influence responsibility and managers’ behavior in ethically questionable scenarios. Across three hypothetical vignette experiments involving 587 marketing managers, we investiga…

  • Spatiotemporal Characteristics of Soil Erosion in Debris Flow‐Prone Areas

Open Access•Chenyuan Wang, Jiangang Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

Traditional annual‐scale assessments obscure the dynamic recharge of debris‐flow provenances during concentrated rainy seasons. To address this, the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of monthly soil erosion during the rainy seasons (2022–2023) within debris flow‐prone gullies of the upstream Min River Basin was quantitatively evaluated using the RUSLE framework. During the rainy seasons, the mean monthly soil erosion modulus (SEM) reached 206.0 t ha −…

  • Leveraging LLM-based agents for social science research

Open Access•Jiarui Ji, Runlin Lei et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2026

The emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs) demonstrates their potential to encapsulate the logic and patterns inherent in human behavior simulation by leveraging extensive web data pre-training. However, the boundaries of LLM capabilities in social simulation remain unclear. To further explore the social attributes of LLMs, we introduce the CiteAgent framework, designed to generate citation networks based on human-behavior simulation with LLM-…

  • How urban sprawl patterns shape the thermal environment during hot summers

    Open Access•Yifeng Ji, Zhitao Li et al.•ARTICLE•Environmental Impact Assessment…•2026•Cited by: 1•References: 61

With accelerating global warming trends, urban sprawl has emerged as a key driver of thermal environment changes in urban areas. However, limited attention has been given to how sprawl patterns shape the thermal environment at the city level. This study sets out to reveal the heterogeneous relationship between the spatial patterns of urban sprawl and thermal environment by analyzing 338 Chinese cities during hot summers from 1990 to 2020. Multi-s…
