Using an Evidence‐Based Program Planning Model In a Macro Practice Course
A graduate macro practice foundation course was modified to incorporate curriculum content on the paradigm of evidence‐based (informed) practice. Assessing the Virtual Classroom of a Graduate Social Policy Course
Student perceptions were investigated toward their experience of learning online in a web-based graduate social policy course. A Study of Youth Services Networks from a Political-Economy Perspective
Using the political-economy perspective, an analysis of three youth services networks was conducted. The internal political economies of the nehvorks were investigated. The dimensions of domain, ideology, coordination and evaluation were examined. The findings suggested the networks were vehicles for sharing new ideas and technologies. Advocacy activities were important in improving interagency cooperation and in obtaining community support for y…
Factors Contributing to Coalition Maintenance
Organizations are building advocacy coalitions as a way of strengthening their survival skills. This article reports on a case study of the factors associated with maintaining an advocacy coalition. The survival of a coalition appears to depend on whether it can insure its member organizations of the payoffs from committing their resources for advocacy purposes
