In response to the growing global demand for healthy and sustainable protein sources, coupled with rising food security concerns, the food industry has developed a wide range of alternative protein options to substitute animal-based meat. Research into the acceptance of plant-based meat alternatives (PBMA) tends to focus on the perceptions of new consumers in order to develop ways to promote and increase consumption. However, there has been limited investigation into consumers who have actively incorporated PBMA into their diet independently. Understanding why regular consumers maintain PBMA in their diet provides a unique opportunity to discover new insights to drive acceptance and consumption
