The following text aims to discuss a little discussed content in a vast fi eld of literature that talks about Lean Manufacturing.It is very common to fi nd books, theses, articles, whose theme is to show the conceptual aspects of Lean from different points of view, or its application and results in different types of organization, often the tools, in other cases, is found on similar methodologies that use the basic concepts of Lean to defi ne philosophies with different nomenclatures.This study is committed to providing readers with a vision of what an Improvement Management System, or Management of Excellence, needs to be, based on the author's practical experiences with a concise, simple, and direct theoretical basis.It is hoped that with this study, a systemic and holistic thinking will develop of what is the idea of cultural transformation to obtain the excellence of organizations, of any kind
