Integrating the arts in education fosters creativity, reflection, and emotional engagement, offering preservice teachers a holistic alternative to outcome-driven models. This collaborative autoethnographic study by four New Jersey teacher educators explores their artistic journeys and teaching practices. Their narratives reveal shared emotional experiences and five themes: artistic perspective, identity, reflection, mental health, and social justice. The paper highlights how arts-based instruction deepens engagement and supports teacher identity development
