The “Child Therapist Relationship in Coactive Musical Experience Scales” and “Musicing: Forms of Ativity, Stages and Qualities of Engagemen Scale” developed by Nordoff-Robbins have been used as means for assessing music therapy since the1960s in the USA. In Brazil, researches have translating those scales, as well have studying their psychometric properties, validity and applicability for Brazilian samples. This integrative review study verified the use of those scales through a review in Capes Portal Periodicals, Google Scholar, Lilacs, Nordoff, Robbins, ProQuest, Medline and Cochrane databases. Twenty two studies related to the “Child-Therapist Relationship in Coactive Musical Experience” and ten studies related to “Musicing: Forms of Activity, Stages and Qualities of Engagement” have been found. We observed that the number of publications with this theme increased over the years and the highest application of those scales involvedthe evaluation of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Neurodevelopmental Disorders
