Introductory Remarks (M. Seyer)As in the previous years, the research focus in the 2023 season was laid on the urbanistic development of Limyra from the Hellenistic to the Byzantine periods (for a plan of the ancient city: Seyer et al. "The excavation at Limyra (Lycia) 2019," 220, fig. 1). The excavation in the western part of the city was continued as the primary activity. As had already become clear in the previous excavation campaigns, especially the area north of the Cenotaph for Gaius C
