Currently, research on professional training for psychotherapeutic encounters with bisexual men is scarce. Therefore, a study was conducted to explore training in psychotherapeutic skills with a gender perspective for the psychological care of bisexual men among graduates with degrees in psychology from a private university in the State of Mexico, Mexico. A non-probability sample of seven individuals was selected, and they participated in a semi-structured interview and a role-playing exercise simulating psychotherapeutic care for bisexual men. For analysis, the application of the data collection strategies was video-recorded with the prior consent of the participants. The interview was analyzed from a Grounded Theory perspective using Atlas.ti v.7 software for Windows and triangulated with the observations from the role-playing exercise. A lack of professional training was found for conducting culturally competent psychotherapeutic sessions with bisexual men from a gender perspective, as well as a lack of knowledge about psychotherapeutic strategies contextualized to the needs of these clients. Finally, it is suggested that further study of psychotherapeutic skills from a gender perspective be conducted to enable the efficient delivery of psychotherapeutic sessions that address the specific psychological needs of bisexual men
