This study examines the implementation of Kudus Regency Regional Regulation No. 5 of 2021 on character education based on Gusjigang local wisdom at MTsN 1 Kudus and SMPN 1 Kudus. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings reveal that Gusjigang values – morality (Gus), religious knowledge (Ji), and entrepreneurship (Gang) – are integrated into school programs, shaping student character positively. Despite challenges such as a lack of guidelines, limited resources, and weak parental involvement, the policy demonstrates the potential of local wisdom as a culturally grounded strategy for character education.
