This fragment is drawn from The Message Is Murder, a work in progress that includes statistically discrepant readings of Jorge Luis Borges, Alan Turing, and Karl Marx, in addition to the engagements with Claude E. Shannon and Alfred Hitchcock present here. These readings are offered as a kind of riposte to Marshall McLuhan's formulation "The medium is the message" at a moment when it has become even more undeniable that the media (linguistic, visual, computational, financial) are the media of racial capitalism. The Message Is Murder is itself part of an investigation of what I call the computational unconscious - that is, the programmatic unthought of my own critical analytic for the regime of racial capitalism, namely, computational capital
