Undergraduate majors in elementary and secondary education were com pared to non-education majors on their attainment of the Piagetian tasks of classification, conservation, propor tional reasoning, images, and relations. No significant differences were found be tween the groups, although each group scored below levels predicted by Piage tian theory.
