Du « renouveau culturel » à la valorisation écologique des pratiques autochtones : la (re)construction des savoirs en Océanie par Céline TRAVÉSI* 1. Il existe plusieurs expressions pour désigner ces savoirs dans la littérature : « savoirs traditionnels » (Traditional Knowledge ou tk en anglais), « savoirs écologiques traditionnels » (Traditional Ecological Knowledge, tek) ou « savoirs autochtones » (Indigenous knowledge, ik) sont les termes les plus couramment employés.Nous reviendrons ci-dessous sur les différences qui existent entre ces expressions.2. Nous employons le terme de réinvention dans un sens différent de celui que l'on peut rencontrer dans les débats sur l'invention des traditions (voir par exemple les travaux de Babadzan, 2007Babadzan, , 2009Babadzan, , 2013 ; ;Friedman, 2002 ;Hanson, 1989 ;Jolly, 1992 ; Thomas, 1992).Si ces savoirs sont réinventés, c'est dans le sens où ils sont réinterprétés et réactualisés.Ils sont rarement inventés de toute pièce et s'inscrivent davantage dans la continuité que dans la rupture.3
