The is a contest in which subjects attempt with as few moves as possible to five lights on a panel before them. Three panels are used in the experiment-one panel for each subject and a control panel for the experimenter. Each of the five lights on a subject's panel can be turned on or off, individually, by a switch located beneath each of them. The subjects are instructed to attempt to turn on one light, going from Light 1 to Light 5, each time the game light on their panel is illuminated. The is operated by the experimenters.
