Тагарская культура Минусинской котловины долгое время считалась наиболее хорошо исследованной в Сибири. В ходе раскопок и сборов в XVIII-XIX вв. было обнаружено большое количество бронзовых изделий, часть которых поступила в собрания отечественных и зарубежных коллекционеров. Они выявляются до настоящего времени как в России, так и за рубежом. Одной из них является коллекция графа Зичи из музея Ференца Хоппа (Венгрия). В ней находится значительное количество бронзовых изделий, в том числе десять бронзовых удил, приобретённых в Минусинской котловине. Анализ этих удил показывает, что указанные экземпляры отражают специфику конского снаряжения Минусинской котловины и эволюцию удил на протяжении (IX) VIII-VI вв. до н. э. Очевидно, что это не случайное приобретение, но сознательный отбор разных типов удил. Интересно, что в отличие от других изделий, конское снаряжение практически не встречается в тагарских захоронениях. По имеющимся данным, большинство удил и псалиев было найдено крестьянами на пашнях, но не вполне понятно, как они оказались на распахиваемых участках вне курганов. Существующие предположения о первоначальном помещении сбруйных деталей в обособленных от курганов прикладах и поминальниках пока не находят подтверждения. Так или иначе, но известные и вновь выявляемые в Минусинской котловине детали конского снаряжения указывают на существование там одного из ранних центров освоения лошади, который во второй половине VII — первой половине VI в. до н. э. оказывал опосредованное влияние на конское снаряжение культур Северного Китая
