Multiple positioning exemplified in the interplay of class and disability Abstract Investigations about organisational culture in academia often discuss an exclusionary effect of the academic habitus. What is deemed successful academic practice is therefore bound by notions of normalcy which additionally regulate the rules of participation. The following auto-ethnographically inspired reflections are a contribution to intersectionality research that follows such assumptions. A guiding hypothesis is that experiences of oppression can generate different types of agency. The categories of class and disability are drawn upon to trace constructions of agency and the capability for resistance that lies in (self-)practices. For a multi-level reflection, the concept of dispositive is used.
