The family skills program (Programa de Competencia Familiar, PCF, Spanish adaptation of the Strengthening Families Program) is assessed from the perspective of the professionals (trainers and coordinators) responsible for its implementation. It is a program addressed to populations with social difficulties. PCF aims at reducing risk factors and reinforcing protection factors in children, promoting positive practices in child-parent relationships. The object of the study is to evaluate conclusions of implementation professionals on observed changes in families, adequacy of the program and suitability of the family selected profile. Professional and personal resources useful for the implementation task are also considered, together with existing difficulties. The evaluation of trainers and coordinators provides basic information to gage the implementation. This evaluation is issued through questionnaires that contain quantitative and qualitative data. Main results indicate positive transformations in families, suitability of PCF as an instrument and improvements in family-professional relationships. Professionals’ evaluation is fundamental to know better the program applications, and it constitutes a tool for both communication and legitimation of the role of trainers and coordinators
