The present article aims at analyzing different political-identitary aspects of the notions of historical consciousness,\npolitical culture and nation of 15 year old students from three neighboring countries: Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.\nThis work is part of the project called Jovens diante da História , which sought inspiration in an experience\nconducted by European researchers called Youth and History , started in 1994. Based on a survey with more\nthan 40 questions directed to students and teachers of the studied countries, a number of situations were selected\nin which the students approached topics related to the goals of the research. Therefore, from the assertions of the\nrespondents, the present article considers issues that deal with both the colonial past of Latin America and the\ncontemporary dilemmas, such as hindrances between nations and economic blocs
