A Problem for Language Acquisition

Les As. examinent l'acquisition du basque, une langue ergative qui possede un double marquage au niveau du syntagme verbal et nominal, par un enfant bilingue entre 1 an et 4 ans. Ils constatent que la morphologie du verbe est acquise avant la morphologie casuelle en ce qui concerne l'ergativite. Ces differents schemas developpementaux observes dans la morphologie du nom et du verbe ne s'expliquant ni par l'agentivite, ni par la categorie fonctionnelle INFL, ni par la constituance des paradigmes, ni par les contraintes phonologiques, les As. concluent que la meilleure explication reside dans la relation differente qu'entretiennent la morphologie du nom et celle du verbe avec la structure argumentale du verbe
